Mozambique & Beyond

A 22 days in Tropical East Coast Africa A safari of sunrises, of unchartered waters, virgin beaches and lone palm trees. Of majestic rivers and waterfalls. We find that on these deserted white beaches we are able to make friends with someone we have known all our lives, ourselves. It is a safari for the romantic - moonlit beaches, ceilings of stars and carpets of sand. We meet Africa face to face, and in doing so, come away with emotions often buried by modern civilizations. We hope that those of you who join us on this tropical paradise safari will be enriched by the experiences we go through. The Luangwa Valley is the ultimate wildlife paradise. A special destination.

Tour di gruppo internazionale, campeggio, Guida parlante Inglese

  1. Giorno 1 (2 notti):

We depart from our Guest Lodge in Johannesburg and head east for our first wildlife adventure. We enter the Kruger National Park and head for our base for the night. After setting up camp we depart in search of the wildlife for which this park is so famous. We hope to capture the big five - lion - leopard - buffalo - elephant - rhino. After early breakfast we resume our search, often spending long periods waiting for that special moment at waterholes or in the bush. Not only the lion, the raptors and the small creatures will fascinate all wildlife enthusiasts. BLD / BrD

  2. Giorno 3 (1 notte):

We pack up camp, load the landy and conduct a morning game drive in the Kruger National Park en route to our next adventure. On cross the border between South Africa and Mozambique at the Giriyondo border post we continue our endeavour in the Transfronteir National Park - the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique. This area is totally uncommercialized, a birding paradise and we camp the night at the community campsite on the shore of Massinger dam BLD

  3. Giorno 4 (2 notti):

We travel to the coastal area and head north through Inhambane to Praia do Tofu, our base for two nights is a tropical resort called Mango Beach Lodge. Here we check into our bungalows and set out to explore the area. The Indian ocean is magic, full of sea life and the opportunity to dive and snorkel the famous Mozambique reefs is a must.. enjoy long walks on the white beaches or a game of volley ball. Maybe even just relaxing at the beach bar, reading or writing to those unfortunate friends back home. A seafood feast tonight in the camp restaurant. BLD / Br

  4. Giorno 6 (1 notte):

Today we visit Old World Africa. Inhambane, one of the oldest European settlements in Southern Africa. We spend an extensive period exploring the Afro-Arabian culture mix, historic buildings and 200-year-old cathedral. A short journey on to Morrungulo, our tropical paradise camp for the next two nights. BLD

  5. Giorno 7 (1 notte):

Time off in Morrungulo on the endless deserted beaches, where the coconut palms meet the ocean. The clear warm Indian Ocean is ideal for snorkelling and diving.
Whale watching trips are organized in season. All diving excursions can be booked at the campsite. NB: Look out for the falling coconuts! BLD
    (Excursions own expense)

  9. Giorno 12 (2 notti):

After border formalities, we enter Malawi, the "Warm Heart of Africa" and head for the "Lake of Stars”. Lake Malawi, the final lake in the Great Rift Valley of Africa.
The lake covers one third of the area of Malawi and is the lifeblood of the Malawi people. Camp on the white beaches of the Lake in a pristine campsite.. The morning is spent at a major craft market purchasing exotic masterpieces, carved in Ebony. A fine example is the Malawian Chair. You could lose yourself amongst the secretive coves of the bay enjoying the warm African sun, cool clear water and the cry of the fish eagle. Tonight enjoy a meal in a local restaurant. BL /BLD

  10. Giorno 14 (2 notti):

Johannesburg to Lilongwe module ends after breakfast.
Early shopping in Lilongwe to re-stock supplies and finally it is time for wildlife in the South Luangwa National Park. 13. Giorno 18 (2 notti):

One of the Seven Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls in Zambia, is our destination for the next two days. We have the opportunity to enjoy the myriad of adventure activities that are offered at the falls, be it Bungi Jumping, Rafting the mighty Zambezi, Elephant back riding and Micro or Ultra light flights over the Smoke that Thunders.
An enjoyable time. BLD / B - NB: Victoria Falls entry own expense.

In the afternoon we do a boat cruise into the Chobe N.P., an area that abounds with Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo and many Antelope species. We hope to find the Puku Antelope, an antelope endemic to the Chobe floodplains. The park contains a multitude of aquatic bird species and the visitor is sure to observe the majestic Fish Eagle or the acrobatic Bee-eater. BLD

  15. Giorno 21 (1 notte):

After breakfast we cross the migration corridor between Hwange in Zimbabwe and Chobe in Botswana, hoping to add to our long list of sightings. Lunch is spent at an oasis in the Makgadigadi Saltpans. We explore the pans in the afternoon in search of Flamingos and Pelicans. Camp the night for the last time in a beautiful campsite in Francistown. B
